Some production capacity is delayed or withdrawn, which is expected to accelerate the supply side clearing. On November 29, Shanghai issued "Several Opinions on Promoting the High-Quality Development of Photovoltaics in New Residential Buildings." From 2023 to 2025, the city's new residential buildings will have a photovoltaic scale of more than 100,000 kilowatts; from 2026 to 2035, promote photovoltaic thin films, photovoltaic curtain walls and other photovoltaic projects. Building integration demonstration and large-scale, market-oriented application, the city's new residential buildings have a photovoltaic scale of more than 500,000 kilowatts.

According to foreign media reports, the South Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy (MOTIE) recently stated that it has allocated 244.7 billion Korean won (185.5 million US dollars) for subsidy programs for rooftop photovoltaic systems and other small renewable energy systems. The South Korean Ministry of Construction and Transportation plans to accept applications from owners and enterprises starting from April 3rd.
